SkateHut’s New Store Is Opening Soon!

Our new store is opening at the end of October 2022 and we cannot wait! Our Halesowen store has moved locations and will no longer sit at Shenstone Trading Estate. It will instead be around the corner and up the road at Amber Way, less than two minutes away in the car. This move has come about from a much larger change, whereby SkateHut as a brand has expanded as a whole and has relocated its headquarters to a larger premises. 

If you are local to Halesowen, you won’t have to travel too far. Not only is our new store much larger than the one before, but it is also a stone's throw away, located at: 

Amber Way, Halesowen, West Midlands, B62 8AY.

SkateHut has grown significantly, from a detached garage in Rubery, to a market-leading Skate Shop within the action sports sector with a site that measures over 60,000 square feet! 

 

 

The Humble Beginnings of SkateHut!

SkateHut was founded in 2007 by its Managing Director, Mark Johansen-Berg. During a family holiday in Florida, Mark and his wife bought their eldest son a pair of Heelys. Upon returning home from the USA, Mark noticed that Heelys were pretty much non-existent in the UK. It was at this point that he decided to fill this gap. Months later, their house was flooded with Heelys and SkateHut was born.

As a brand and retailer, SkateHut truly has expanded since its beginnings in 2007. We now have three stores, one located at our headquarters in Halesowen, one in Corby at the infamous Adrenaline Alley Skatepark and the other in Manchester at the Greystone Action Sports Academy.

Now that we have expanded our offices and headquarters, and are also in the process of expanding and relocating our Halesowen store, we will continue to provide the best action sports experience for all ages and preferences, but we will also be looking to expand our capacity and range even further.
