What's On in September 2026: UK Action Sports Events Not to Miss

The summer holidays are winding down, but the action sports calendar certainly isn't. September is one of the busiest months of the year for competitions and events in the UK, with everything from elite national championships to junior series rounds and a massive all-day festival at Adrenaline Alley. Here's what's coming up.

6 September

Stansted Skatepark Jam – Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex

September kicks off with a grassroots BMX and skate jam at Stansted Skatepark in Essex, a reliable annual fixture that draws local and regional riders together at the start of the autumn. The skatepark sits off the Lower Street car park, near Mountfitchet Castle, and the format is typically relaxed, open to all ages and abilities.

12–13 September

Skateboard GB National Street Championships – BaySixty6, London

The headline skateboarding event of the autumn, and one of the most significant competitions in the UK calendar. The Skateboard GB National Street Championships return to BaySixty6, London's iconic indoor skatepark under the Westway in Ladbroke Grove, for a two-day event with a £10,000 prize pot on the line.

The competition field is made up of invited national team riders, British wildcard selections, and applicants chosen by the Skateboard GB panel. Both men's and women's categories are capped at 24 competitors, making the standard consistently high. Even if you're not competing, BaySixty6 on a nationals weekend is worth the trip. The level of riding on display is rarely matched anywhere else in the country.

19 September

Adrenaline Alley 24th Anniversary Event – Corby

The biggest single-day action sports event of the autumn takes place at Adrenaline Alley in Corby, Europe's largest indoor skatepark, and home to the SkateHut store. The 24th Anniversary Event is the park's flagship annual celebration, and if the last two years are anything to go by, it will sell out.

On the action sports side, the day includes scooter jams (U13, 13+, and PRO, hosted by Moses), BMX jams (U13, 13+, and PRO), a skateboard jam for all ages and abilities hosted by Dan Webz, an MTB and jumpbike airbag jam, and a WCMX jam. There's also a Spanner meet and greet, a car show, inflatables, and a prize purse across the pro and amateur categories.

The event runs from 10:30am to 7pm. Rider and spectator passes are both available to book online. Early-bird pricing offered a saving earlier in the summer, and booking in advance is strongly recommended given the event's track record of selling out. Both riders and spectators need their own registered member number to book.

Survival of the Sickest – Round 5, 4 Motion Skatepark, Darlington

Skateboard GB's UK-wide junior competition series resumes in the North East with Round 5 at 4 Motion Skatepark in Darlington. This round is in street format, with separate under 12s and under 16s categories for boys and girls (mixed where numbers require it).

Survival of the Sickest is built around fun and progression rather than high-pressure elite competition, making it a strong entry point for young skaters looking to get their first taste of organised events. Entry is £10 per person, and all competitors must hold a Skateboard GB membership. Financial assistance is available for those who need it. Enter via skateboardgb.org.

27 September

ScootJam UK 2026 – Youth Elite Scooter Championships, Adrenaline Alley, Corby

September closes with another Adrenaline Alley event, this time invite-only. ScootJam UK is the youth elite scooter championships, open only to riders who have pre-qualified through earlier rounds. The event runs from 10:30am to 8pm and supports the progressive development of the next generation of competitive scooter riders, with dedicated age-group categories designed to give younger athletes a realistic pathway into elite competition.

If you're the parent or coach of a rider who has qualified, booking must be made through the Adrenaline Alley website using the rider's own member number. This one is for qualified riders only, do not book unless you have received confirmation of qualification.
