Spring 2018 marks the beginning of a new chapter for Boosted. Using data gathered from years of in-house R&D and rider feedback, Boosted have built the Boosted Plus from the ground up. Every single component is designed and engineered specifically for the long-term demands of electric skateboarding. The all-new Super Flex composite deck retains the characteristic flex and deep carving capabilities Boosted is known for, now with even more strength and vibration dampening. The custom designed 85mm Stratus wheels exhibit a balanced flex profile to provide a secure, stable ride with just the right amount of grip and roll. With their industry-leading remote and firmware for safe, secure braking and instant acceleration, Boosted Plus is an instant classic.
Using composite construction methods developed in snowboard manufacturing, Boosted have built a deck with unparalleled ride feel and durability. The Plus' strong yet flexible poplar core is flanked by high-density foam. These elements are sandwiched between top and bottom sheets of triaxial fibreglass, and wrapped with a polymer sidewall, making the board ultra-durable from all angles.
Boosted Plus comes stocked with an extended range battery so you can fall in love with detours and take the long way home. More importantly, Boosted maintains incredibly high standards of safety, quality, and reliability, including rigorous testing of its battery packs under conditions that replicate tough daily riding conditions to ensure vehicle-grade safety.
Boosted boards have an incredible amount of power and control to accelerate uphill with speed and stop on a dime. This comes from the amount of torque generated by Boosted's brushless DC (BLDC) motor belt drive system. With this, the belt and pulleys amplify the motor's torque so the wheels produce 3x the torque produced by the motor alone. On top of that, Boosted boards use a dual motor drive system, so you get to multiply that by 2 again compared to a single motor system. More torque. Faster acceleration. More control.
The 190mm trucks have been completely overhauled for this next generation of Boosted boards. Boosted have added material for increased strength in high-stress areas and upgraded their manufacturing process to allow use of higher grade metal. The result is a massive increase in overall strength right where it counts.
Core geometry and selective urethane placement impacts a wheel's ability to grip the road and determines how smoothly it rides over cracks and bumps. The Stratus feature a H-Core for a supported, stable ride feel. The balanced flex profile is soft enough to handle road imperfections, yet firm enough to provide all the grip that riders need when it matters most. Smoother, faster, and bigger than ever.
Boosted's ergonomic remote works in concert with their cutting-edge firmware to make the Boosted experience incredibly simple and intuitive. Each ride mode includes a unique Jerk Filter that provides a careful taper when accelerating or braking. This provides a super responsive, yet predictable ride, from beginner to pro.
