With the summer well done and dusted, we thought it’s about time that we head back to our local indoor parks! We’ve whipped up a list of some of our favourite ones from around the UK. Check it out!
Adrenaline Alley – Corby
Europe’s largest urban sports venue and home to SkateHut Corby! Three different buildings as well as an outdoor plaza and dirt pump track, Adrenaline Alley truly has it all. Suitable for all disciplines and abilities, this place is well worth a visit! Come down for a shred and pop into the SkateHut shop to say hello.
Campus – Bristol
Catering for those down Southwest, Campus is a sick indoor park. They opened their second facility in 2015 which is a converted old swimming pool, which makes for a gnarly concrete park. With a skate shop and café to go along with it, Campus skatepark has a really cool vibe. Check it out if you’re around there!
House of Vans – London
House of Vans is more than just a skatepark! Playing host to an art gallery, bar, café, cinema and music venue, it’s currently one of the UK’s most exciting skate-dedicated spaces. The skatepark consists of the iconic concrete bowl with its chequered tile coping, as well as a street and mini ramp section. The House of Vans has also hosted plenty of huge events over the last few years including Vans 50 th Birthday and a live set from Metallica!
Creation – Birmingham
Creation is a huge indoor park located in Moseley in Birmingham, well known for having one of the UK’s best vert ramps. 12ft 6” high and 26ft wide, this ramp is a huge attraction for vert riders nationwide. There’s also a massive bowl complex, foam pit, jump box run and new street section!
Unit3Sixty – Stourbridge
Local to SkateHut’s Halesowen headquarters, we’re big fans of Unit3Sixty. Suitable for skateboarders, scooter, BMX and inline riders, Unit3Sixty has a gnarly street run section, as well as a huge bowl and mini ramp section. They also host competitions and events every year, including the classic Battle at the Black Country!
BAYSIXTY6 – London
Located in West London, BAYSIXTY6 is one of the most well-known and longest running indoor parks in the UK. Previously known as Playstation Park, BAYSIXTY6 has seen many different set-ups since over the years, and currently consists of a huge street plaza and bowl section. BAYSIXTY6 also plays host to lots of events and competitions, including Nike SB’s London AM. Check out this video of the Primitive team putting it down there!
Projekts MCR – Manchester
Located underneath a motorway flyover, Projekts MCR is quite an impressive park! Also known as ‘Pumpcage’ due to the cage that surrounds it, this skatepark has a wooden section and concrete section and is street based. Over the years this park has seen some true shredders pass through, including the likes of Chris Joslin, Chris Haslam and Ryan Decenzo.
