Thrasher Magazine was founded in January 1981 by Fausto Vitello and Eric Swensen. The magazine was created to document the skate scene with articles about the latest gear, competitions, spot and park reviews, music and adverts from all the skate companies including Independent trucks which Vitello and Swensen co-founded with Richard Novak and Jay Shiurman.
Two Titans Together In An Amazing Colab Range
Since its debut, the magazine has grown a loyal readership and gone from strength to strength with its iconic logo becoming synonymous with skateboarding worldwide!
Venture Trucks also share a lot of the same pedigree as Thrasher as they were also founded by Fausto Vitello and were the third truck to be released through deluxe distribution after Independent and Thunder. Originally released to be a cheaper truck with premium design, venture trucks soon became known as the ‘street skating truck’ and enjoyed a huge amount of success being the truck you turned to when you didn’t want a freestyle or vert truck.
Thrasher’s latest collab brings these two titans together in an amazing range celebrating their deep roots in skateboarding with both logo’s combined. The range includes a heavyweight cotton hoodie in gold, a crewneck, and black and white tees, a black beanie and a white cap. All items feature the punchy, bold collab logo for maximum effect, sure to be snapped up by skateboarders who love style and their history.
Another new style from Thrasher is the Hieroglyphic range which sees the iconic Thrasher font interpreted as Egyptian Hieroglyphic symbols. This collection includes a heavyweight cotton hoodie in maroon, a teeshirt with the same design in Navy and a snapback cap in maroon.
Another standout piece in this latest drop is the Thrasher crows top which features artwork by Phil Peralta.
