With 2018 well underway, SkateHut have been lining up their season of events - skateboard, scooter, roller derby and music, you name it!
Check out this list of what events we’ve seen and highly recommend this year:
Dates: 7th April
Where: Unit3Sixty, Stourbridge
The third round of the UK Grit Scooters Academy will be taking place at Unit3Sixty Skatepark in Stourbridge once again this year. Signings, giveaways and the chance to meet the Grit team are all up for grabs and the four top riders from this jam will qualify for the UK Grand Final, in which the winner will land themselves a full Grit Scooters sponsorship!

Where: XC Skatepark, Hemel Hempstead
Held over two weekends in April, the National Skateboarding Championships are the very first to ever take place. Organised by Skateboard England, these competitions will act as part of the qualification route for the Olympic GB Skateboarding team. With the chance to take part in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics at stake, tensions are set to be high!

Where: Walker Activity Dome, Newcastle upon Tyne
The EuroClash returns for another year of Roller Derby Fun! Organised by Newcastle Roller girls, this event is one weekend packed full of back to back roller derby games. With teams coming from as far as the USA, this event is not one to be missed.
Dates: 14th-15th July
Where: Fisherman’s Green Carpark, Eastbourne
Head on down to Eastbourne to see their local Roller Derby team battle it out against other teams from around the country! As part of Eastbourne’s Beach Life Festival, this one is a great family event as there will also be live music, a VW Bus Stop, a skate park, a funfair and water sports taster sessions!

Where: Adrenaline Alley, Corby
Hosting scooter and inline events on the Saturday and BMX and skateboard events on the Sunday, the Corby Carve Up is going to be filled with action! Held in Europe’s largest urban sports centre, Adrenaline Alley offers plenty to see and ride for everyone. Jams and competitions will be held over the course of the weekend, as well as live music and street art displays!

Where: War Memorial Park, Coventry
Local to SkateHut HQ in Birmingham and celebrating its 20thanniversary this year, Coventry’s Godiva Festival is set to be huge. With names like The Enemy, Example and Kasabian gracing the line-up in previous years, Godiva are sure to have something big in the mix. As well as live music, Godiva offers food and drink stalls, a craft village and a children’s fun fair. Be sure to pop by SkateHut’s stall and say hello!
