DVS Shoe Company was founded in 1995 by Kevin Dunlap and Tim Gavin. DVS is based in California, USA. DVS is said to stand for "Devious".
History
DVS originally made men's skateboard specific shoes, but today they have expanded their footwear line with shoes for women, kids and toddlers. Shoe models now include sandals, slippers and fashion-based designs. They also have a clothing line.
In 2007 they started a sub-line called Luxe, which focused more on fashion and premium materials with limited distribution.
Their team has expanded as well from sponsoring just skateboarders, to snowboard, motocross and surf.
Notable team members include Zered Bassett, Steve Berra, Kerry Getz, Daewon Song, and Jeron Wilson. DVS is influenced by the personalities and styles of its team riders.
Technologies such as Bruise Control cushioning systems, ECOTRUE recyclable materials, and CGT grip control are employed by DVS.
